Research in the lab is focused on plants and their environments. Ongoing projects include work on herbaceous and woody plants that inhabit a wide range of ecosystems in climate zones from the Mediterranean regions of California, Europe and South Africa to the tropics of Costa Rica, Mexico and Brazil.
